£2.3m Leeds specialist technology talent firm expands to Newcastle Helix

A North-based talent partner and advisory specialist is marking its first year in business by instituting ambitious growth plans for its people, candidates and clients.

After reaching a turnover of £2.3m in the first 12 months, technology talent partners SPG Resources, currently based in Leeds, are set to open a new office in Newcastle in August to meet demand in the region and support the development of SPG Group. ,

The group, which includes SPG Transformation and SPG Software, is a “fast-growing” tech business with an eco-system of solutions that span people, digital transformation and specialist software.

This expansion to the North East is set to create 10 jobs in the region over the next 12 months, with the latest recruits set to begin work in August at their new office in the core of the Newcastle Helix. This will add to the strong five already existing team in its Leeds office, and plans to create another seven Leeds-based roles next year as well.

The company provides bespoke talent advisory services to clients seeking the “best of technical talent”, from talent strategy to employer brand to recognition, attraction, selection and retention.

Since its inception in 2021, SPG Resources has hired over 75 candidates across the financial services, public sector, health and asset management sectors globally and celebrates multiple client wins with the likes of NHS, Capita, Huddle and First Group Celebrated.

Having already moved three times to accommodate rapid growth, the firm has moved its Leeds team to new premises at Wellington Place, the new technology hub for Leeds. Business success comes from a unique offering of technical expertise that sits behind SPG Resources.
