Osun State’s governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, has reiterated his commitment to the state’s development, saying the election results will not deter him from the good work he has begun.

He said this during a civic engagement meeting with a group of artisans in the state in Osogbo on Sunday.

Represented by his Special Adviser on Civic Engagement, Olatunbosun Oyintilloe, Oyetola urged the people of the kingdom to continue praying for him, saying that his administration would by no means rely on the good work he started.

“We will continue our good work as we are committed to the progress of the state. We will continue to defend the interests of the people of our people in accordance with the mandate,” Oyetola said.

In his remarks, Obafemi, president of the Osun Chapter of Nigeria’s Barber Association, said on Sunday that the governor’s good work since the inception of his administration has become a deterrent and reference point.

He said that the members of the association would continue to pray for the victory of the Governor in the Election Petitions Tribunal.

In addition, Funmilyo Taiwo, president of the Osun Chapter, the Hairdressers Association of Nigeria, said that the results of the election would in no way bother him supporting the governor.

There is no doubt that the people of the state voted extensively for the governor, he said, adding that nothing will replace his love, support and loyalty to Oyetola.
