Judicial Hypocrisy According to Donald Trump-Jesus

The wisdom of Jesus about judging continues to be taught to Americans in the life of Donald Trump. When he first campaigned for the US presidency in 2016 against former First Lady and Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, he encouraged his supporters to shout “Lock Her Up”, referring to Ms. did so. excitement. This was because he had inadvertently broken government security protocols by using a private email server for personal and government electronic messages instead of the federal government’s secure devices that he had been instructed to. She later admitted that it was a “bonehead” mistake on her part.

During that year, the FBI investigated whether Clinton committed a crime in doing so. About six weeks before the election, FBI Director James Comey announced that the FBI had completed its investigation of Clinton’s abuse and concluded that she had broken no law. He certainly had no intention of breaking the law. Still, Trump continued to rebuke him about this, saying he would reopen the case if he became president, adding that he should be in prison.

Now, Trump is under investigation by the Justice Department for something related to Ms. Clinton’s server crash that is far more serious. When the former president vacated the White House, he took hundreds of government-classified documents that did not belong to him. And when the National Archives discovered it, they told him that he had no right to do so and return them. Trump has consistently denied for several months.

Then this year the Archives asked the Justice Department to investigate it, which it is doing. He sent the FBI to search and recover documents at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago compound in Palm Beach, Florida. The matter is now in the courts and Trump continues his stoic approach, claiming that he has a right over these sensitive documents. But in doing so, he continues to subject himself to legal jeopardy that could result in criminal prosecution and jail time for the same. If that happens, the chickens will be back for Trump to encourage his political supporters to shout, “Lock him!” Instead, the courts could have told prison guards, “Shut him down.”

Shortly after Trump was president, I started posting about the teaching of Jesus and related it to Trump. (It is now in my book, Biblical Predictions Trump Fall.) Jesus said in his Sermon on the Mount, “Judge not, so that you may not be judged” (Matthew 7.1 NRSV). Many people stop there and conclude that all judgments are wrong. not at all! Continue reading what he said.

Jesus went on to say, “For by what you judge, you will be judged, and whatever measure you give, you will measure” (Matthew 7.2). Is. He said that if you do X, Y will be with you. This is a prophecy. It is a wise saying that Jesus is making, and words of wisdom in the Bible, such as in the book of Proverbs, often include prophecy.

Jesus continued, “Why do you see the speck in your neighbor’s eye, but do not see the log in your own eye?” (v. 3). Jesus was using exaggeration by saying “the log”, which captures people’s attention, is so graphic, and therefore memorable.

Jesus then said, “You hypocrite, first take out the log from your eye, and then you will be able to see clearly the speck in your neighbor’s eye” (Matthew 7.5). Here, Jesus reveals that he does not mean that all judgment is wrong, but that it should not be done hypocritically.

Former President Donald Trump is now experiencing what Jesus said here. Trump is being judged by the same measure with which he judged Ms. Clinton. His accident was about electronic messages which were government property that should have been made secure. But Trump’s crash includes classified government papers allegedly containing information about foreign governments’ nuclear weapons. At the same time, Trump’s lawyer warned him that he would legally indict himself over top secret government documents that did not belong to him.

How It Works—What Did Jesus Teach? I wonder if God caused Trump to fall into this sinkhole – because of his refusal to take government-graded docs and return them – because he judged Clinton, or if somehow it was because of God’s intervention. Happens without.

Although it works, Jesus’ teaching on judging is playing out before us in our American politics, perhaps like never before. And it’s showing us that Jesus (and I believe IS) was a true prophet of God.
