LG Energy Solutions brings start-ups to promote next-generation battery technology

Seoul, South Korea, 31 July 2022 /PRNewswire/ — LG Energy Solution (LGES; 373220) continues its efforts to promote next generation battery technologies by inviting start-ups in the industry. The battery maker said it is hosting an international competition ‘LGES Battery Challenge 2022’ to identify start-ups for potential investments and collaborations.
Through the program, LGES is bringing together battery start-ups to keep pace with the rapidly developing industry, as a growing number of economies transition to renewable energy. This is the third time the company is hosting the competition.
Start-ups specializing in battery-related technology can take part in this year’s Battery Challenge. This year’s event focused primarily on three major categories: battery technology on materials, management and control and Smart Factory. 10 start-ups will be selected as finalists and each will get funding as well as an opportunity to collaborate with LGES.
