Md. Tech Council seeks technologies that enable diversity strategies
The Maryland Tech Council (MTC), the largest technology and life sciences trade association in the state, on Monday issued a request for information on technologies that help Maryland organizations develop their diversity, equity and inclusivity (DEI) strategies, Can help to implement and track.
MTC will feature qualified technologies in a new DEI Tools Directory, Maryland’s first free online directory to assist organizations in Maryland on their DEI journey.
The DEI Equipment Directory is part of MTC’s Technology Inclusion Initiative (TI2). Launched in 2021, the TI2 initiative is designed to advance DEI in Maryland’s tech-based industries and promote socioeconomic advancement through technology for underrepresented and underrepresented groups.
There is no cost to submit technology for inclusion in the DEI Equipment Directory. The deadline for submitting a technology is September 15. An advisory group composed of TI2 Steering Committee members will review each deposit and make appointments with the companies to determine whether the equipment is right for the directory.
To be included in the DEI Tools directory, a technology must be developed in Maryland or offered by a company with a Maryland presence.
MTC is anticipated to complete the qualification process and launch the DEI Equipment Directory by October 1.
